In high school and on my first jobs, this is what we typed on.
To use one now would feel like typing underwater! It takes a certain amount of finger strength.
Although I mostly compose on the computer nowadays, I still sometimes do first drafts by hand. Better for my eyes than staring at a screen too long!
Studies show that writing by hand helps you retain the information, so it's still best for note-taking.
